strings for my 64 precision

I love the sound of the rotosounds on my 64 precision. My question is should I use the nickel or the stainless. I like a heavier string, but dont want to do too much damage to the fretboard: Any suggestions? .

Rotosound swing 66 steels are great strings. Unless your overly heavy handed with fretting hand and/or grinding the strings into fretboard their should be no significant fretbaord wear for long long time. Same for the frets unless theyre substandard soft frets. Ive used rotosound swing66 steels since the early 1970's.

I also like the tone from the rotosound swingbass66. I find the stainless a bit hard on the frets, so i bought the nickel swingbass 66 to use on my Geddy insteed of the EB slinky's.
