I recently made the move from a samick American jazz bass clone to a Spector Legend.. so my question is, Has anyone experimented with strings for Spectors? I don't think it will need strings for at least a month or two but I feel it can't hurt to know
for my jazz bass, I've tried D'Addario and Ernie Ball strings. The D'Addario strings sound a little better IMO but are really stiff and had to play compared to the Ernie ball strings.
On the Spector, I think it would be safe to assume they are the stock strings.. they have a "soft" feel which i like and also sound great.. But strings aside, i cant even compare the Spector to my old jazz bass so i dont think what worked on the jazz bass could hold true for the Spector
