Strings for Travis Bean TB2000?

I was wondering what TB 2000 owners preferred for strings. I recently bought a TB 2000 and would appreciate any recommendations. What brand, gauges, and winding lengths do you prefer?

I've been using Ken Smith Slick Rounds and Bass Burners on my other basses for years & years, but would be interested in trying something else.

Thanks for the reply, but what do you mean "no pics no bass" ? I'm just trying to get a feel for what other people would use on a TB 2000. The E on the set I have is too long.

that bass of yours doesn't happen to be # 708, does it? sure would like to get my old bass back someday....

If you get standard, 34" scale strings, and cut them 1" shorter than you would for a 34" scale bass, you automatically have strings that fit. Badabing.

Sorry man, I've always wanted one... I've had a few aluminum necked Kramers though... I liked them with Ernie Ball flats.

yodedude2: Thanks a lot for the info, I'll look for 33" scale strings. Mine isn't #708, but pretty close actually, 726. There is a post on the Travis Bean site about the differences between #708 and #143. The poster knows the current owner of 708, so maybe you could see about getting it back?

Staunch: Thanks for the tip. The strings I have now say they're 38" winding length for 34" & Most 35" scale basses, but the silk ends too soon. I'll look around for some Ernie Ball flats.
