Strings Pedulla players use?

You can A/B a set on my myspace page.

Granted, I did use 2 different mic pre's, but I think you can tell the difference in tone.

"6 AM" Rapture with standard nickel D'Addario. Used a Telefunken mic pre. Nice and fat and all...

But listen to "Natural Chemical"...and you'll hear the difference with the DRs. I tracked through a UA 610, I think. This particular track featured the great session drummer Nate Morton from the "Rockstar INXS" house band, as well as playing with Paul Stanley and a crapload of other artists.

None of the tracks were edited, so obviously there's some rough spots and stuff like that, since well, they are unmixed roughs.

I realize I wasn't the original poster, but as a Pedulla Rapture owner myself, I thought this was TREMENDOUSLY interesting and helpful. Thanks. :hyper:

By the way, great songs and great playing. Love them! :bassist:

I tried the stock Pedulla nickles, Kalium (Circle K) nickles, and found both to be way too bright and boingy. I couldn't get a properly warm sound, especially out of the B and E strings on the Pentabuzz I had. I opted for my favorite flat, Sadowsky Black Labels, and got a much more usable tone (to my ears).
