if i were you id do a little searching on TB... then ask your question with some idea of the sound you are going after, etc.
ok. let me be more specific. im new to the whole bass modification. i want a "growl" with with a crispness to it. nothing mellow or muddy. i was referred dean markley(sp) and elixer. any thoughts?
I feel that the growl tone comes more from pickups and eq. Dean Markley will tear up your frets too. Elixer won't and they have a broken in round wound tone so they might be what you are looking for.
