Double Bass Strunal 50/4 Bowable?

I hear good things about the Strunal 50/4 for pizz. (what I get paid to do) That said I really enjoy playing the bow and am wondering if anyone has opinions on the merits of the 50/4 with a bow. I know they have hybrid models and I`m not completely against considering one but I`d rather not deal with the maintenance. Thanks---

I have a Strunal 50/4 (actually glivanos' old bass).

It is bowable, even with Spiros on it, however, a hybrid model with a carved top will be better for arco playing. My friend has a Strunal hybrid and it is easier to get sound out when bowing and simply sounds better when the bowed sound comes out. The pizz sound of the ply and the hybrid are different, so keep that in mind. Normal maintenance is not something to be intimidated of.
