Stuart Zender and Warwick

I also got my Warwick Streamer LX in 1998 because Stuart Zender was my favorite player and he played warwicks, in fact, at least here in Chile most bassist between 25 and 30 rate Stuart as a main influence on their playing i think.
IN fact, just take a look at Jamiroquai's videos on youtube, even the newer ones, there's always comments about Stu's playing, etc.. even if he quitted the band more than 10 years ago and they have a great great Player on Paul Turner (who, by the way has one of the most amazing tones i've heard... he really gets an incredible sound out of his Fenders and his lovely Alleva Coppolo LG-5).

As for the business, i think that's private, and Stu did wrong posting those things on facebook.

In light of all this, it seems someone else was managing Stuart's FaceBook account. So in an attempt to clear his name, here are his updates since he reclaimed his account...

Hey friends...it seems that we have a major communication problem here. The comments written in the last few days were that of a friend i trusted with my email address and both facebook and google passwords. I am now going to try and handle this account personaly.

My relationship with Warwick has been a long a fruitfull one and Hans-Peter, the owner, is a dear friend. We worked very hard on the signature model and i do hope the people who have bought it, can feel and hear all the hard work that was put in.

The "Rockbass" is coming soon. These things take time to develope and i know you wont be dissapointed. I have also been playing with Jonas Hellborgs bass amps. To say that they blow away anything i have used before is an understatement. You will all get to hear the set up live soon with Running Out of Heroes.

So...there it is...from me personaly. I would like to formaly appologize to H.P. for any distress this may have caused him. I trully believe the comments made by my friend had the best of intentions...but hey...the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Peace and love, Stuart

PS......ROOH track is on its way.....your all gonna love it.

Now im on this facepage thingy..im gonna babble..i do hope all the warwick talkbass forum people read what has happened here and stop annihilating my good nature. man......some real brutal stuff. Ouch! Its all love at the end of the day.xoxo

"Magnetic Levitation" New Running Out Of Heroes track snippet coming soon!!!!!

Believe half of what you see, none of what you read. And with that, I'll leave it alone.

Someone else writing as Zender? Now that was a smart idea. Sounds to me like someone may have realised they'd shot themselves in the foot and did a quick about-face to fix things.

;)

Actually, the other thing is that Stuart may not be in Jamiroquai anymore, but he was (probably still is) playing with Mark Ronson.

He is still a working professional as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't call him a deadbeat or washed up over what seems to be a skewed spat that we're only getting one side of from a source that we can't verify.

haha look at all the hate.... and it turns out someone else was running his facebook page - common with celebrities

let's all try to avoid such mass hysteria and jumping to conclusions in the future, shall we?

Does that mean we gotta put down the torches & pitchforks now? Sheesh, where's the fun in that?

I dunno jack about Warwick's business ethics, but I DO know that my Streamer is my fav bass and I doubt that anything that happens in their business practices will deter from it's tone & feel.

I'm not going to talk about Stuart specifically as it's not my business, however I will stand by Warwick's business ethics on this one. They have done absolutely nothing wrong.

That's pure speculation on your part (unless, of course, you've been privy to information that the rest of us haven't been privy to).

Man, those Facebook entries made me cringe. Private matters like this really don't belong there, at least I wouldn't do it. But then again, I can't stand the Social Networking thing anyway.

Yeah... I don`t buy it. Read Stu`s online interviews where he personally responds to questions(you can find these on his website) and you`ll notice his manner of typing and responding is the same as the past statuses about Warwick and his basses. I think his legal counsel is doing damage control right now with his most recent updates.

I'm feeling a bit of regret starting this thread now. Perhaps I jumped the gun a bit before we had all the information.

I wouldn't be offended if this thread was closed because it is regarding something quiet contentious and personal.

I find it more probable that Warwick's Legal dept. called him and asked him kindly to stop the slander before communication between them will start being handeld by their lawyers through a courthouse.

that being said I think that whatever happened should have stayed between SZ and Warwick, just like he handeled the whole Jay Kay saga (the mr. X incident and the leaving of the band) maturely without badmouthing anyone though they may have deserved it.
