Stuck in the corner...

I don't really see an issue with the band being in the corner as long as the bass cab or the bass players ears aren't jammed into a corner.

Those stage plots really shouldn't generate any more difference than what you could normally expect. Every room, every plot sounds a little different to me.

Actually, I gig the same room 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. We have that room dialed in cold. Every once in a while we walk in and the room for what ever reason sounds like total dookie. The next day, for whatever reason, it sounds fine again. Explain that one to me. Weird.

The pics posted of the "corner" are about the size of some of the bar venues we play. The corner we have to set up in is smaller than the area your backdrop covers. Very tiny.

Can you describe how your band sets up in these tiny corners? This sounds like the place we will be playing in a couple weeks.

That sounds great, we have a place we play about once a month. Just when we getting it dialed in they went and changed the layout, now they too want us in the corner...

Years ago I was in a band that got a gig playing in the bar of a steak restaurant. They put us up behind the liquor bottles behind the bar about seven feet off the floor. We had to get up there in single file, and the first guy up (that was me) couldn't get down until everyone else had left the "stage". While we were playing I had a little rectangle about 12" X 20" to stand on.

I can't speak for that band individually but generally it requires downsizing the drums and rigs and nobody being a baby about it.
