I've only ever used ProTools in a professional recording studio setting. I use Reaper for my own work for private clients, but I don't operate any kind of studio. I can record at my place, but usually record on location and mix/master at my home studio.
Actually come to think of it that's a lie. I used Cool Edit Pro for a few sessions, and I used Vegas Video believe it or not for audiobook editing at a small studio that I worked at about 15 years ago.
