my girlfriend bought me a lovely fender strap for my birthday, and 1 end has like rope attached to it... i assume its for attaching to 1 of the bass saddles to make the strap longe but.... Whats the correct way to attach it, i dont get it lol
The string is to tie around the end of an acoustic guitar. Not needed with your bass, Use it for a shoe lace or something. PS There are no stupid questions.
thing is the strap is just say an inch or 2 to short comparedto how i like it.... Would it be safe to use it on a bass or, is a bas to heavy
Most that I have seen that come with a string are intended for an acoustic. It is probably safe if you are careful, but its probably to thin and will be uncomfortable if its designed for a much lighter instrument.
yeh true, i suppose the leather will stretch over time, its just cos im not use to it! My american jazz is way to heavy for the lace!!
Can't you just extend the strap? There's a spot where the strap doubles over, and if you shorten that you get a longer strap.
