Working on a sub cab for my Greenboy fEARless F112. It'll have an Eminence Kappalite 3012LF with a switch to run the powered signal through the LPF or full range. Might have it completed next week.
Here are some pics. The bksck sorry painted doesn't do it justice but the DuraTex will take care of that.
Here are some pics after I spray painted the baffle and the ports.
Routed the edges and finished sanded them afterwards.
Cut foam insulation, sprayed the inside of the cab with 3M 77 Adhesive and the installed the foam.
I work in my garage and it isn't heated so I'm going to take a break until these temps come back up which should be Tuesday. Here's what's left to do in the order I'm planning on doing it. I'm really anxious to get this completed but the temps are dictating my schedule.
*Sand a few rough spots, vacuum the sawdust then wipe down the complete cabinet with a damp cloth.
*First coat of DuraTex including the baffle and portions of the ports. That should clean up the looks of the
baffle and connecting areas. DuraTex does a great job of making a cabinet look
great while protecting it.
*Second coat of DuraTex
*Install feet.
*Install corners.
*Seal and install handle.
*Add a few staples to the insulation to insure it remains intact.
*Solder leads to the control plate and LPF. Seal and install them.
*Install the 3012LF w/sealing gasket.
*Install the Grille.
*Install rails on the angled side, and one on what's considered the top side as it sits
in the monitor position. The rails on the angled side act as feet. The one on
what's considered the top side and place my amp on the top side allows me to
place my amp on it and the rear feet rest against the rail preventing it from sliding
off.
Test the cab with the F112 stacked on top. "Rock-N-Roll !"
