Sub test

I had a behringer eurolive B1800 given to me. I'd like to TRY and sell it, but I want to make sure it works.
The only amp I have to test it with would be my main bass amp, Genz Benz shuttle6.2. I just want to make sure I'm not gonna damage it. I would assume it would be fine, just to test, except the input panel confuses me.

My amp has +1 & -1, just like the speakon cables I've made. What's with the +2 & -2?

No it's definetly passive. It's fairly old.
You will need to wire one end of your cable to the 2+ and 2- on a 4 pole speakon. The {2} connections are used mostly for non full range connections (like mids/highs or in this case subs).

Lable the rewired end so you plug that side into the cab only.
ok makes sense. I was thinking of adding a third +1 -1 plug but probably not worth the trouble on this boat anchor.

A dive bar here had what I believe were those or something similar from behringer in it.

They had (questionable quality) passive crossovers in them so you could chain the subs to the tops from something like a powered mixer without using an active XO or an additional poweramp. That's probably what the 2's are for. Open it up and see.

It's not worth much, in sound quality or cash, but who knows, maybe some youngster will give you something for it to make noise with.
