Subdecay Quasar

A note for quasar owners:
The first Quasars produced had issues with LFO noise (ticking) when used in front of a high gain pedal or amplifier, and sometimes modulation would stop after the battery voltage dropped below 8 volts. This issue can be fixed, but involves installing a second small circuit board beneath the main board, and can only be in our shop. This modification will also give the rate knob a larger range, making the modulation even faster and slower. If you would like to have your pedal updated please email or call us for more information.

Just so you know so if you want to change it email [email protected] let him know Ste Taylor sent you and he'll spit inside your pedal for you :p

I'm not usually a fan of pulsing LED's, but in this case, I actually like it... I know you weren't asking for advice, but I'll put in another vote for getting it upgraded. The rediculously slow rates that one can get are amazing... that alone is worth it in my book, but to remove the possibility of noise and ticking pretty much would make up my mind. thats pretty cool you got serial number 1 though.

Know what you mean, I've had some pretty brutal charges when things arrived. A couple random points that I've found (if you're looking at other pedals/etc... Just thought I'd share some info with someone else getting screwed by the mail) UPS and fedex are brutal on brokerage fees, I've paid 25% or more with them (especially ups), but USPS has never charged me when something arrived. If you don't mind a marginally longer wait, one can often get a decent price on shipping, and I didn't think that there was supposed to be duty charges on a lot of electronics (that part is hazy).

I dunno, I figured that out because waiting for a good deal to turn up in canada was problematic (although axeandyoushallrecieve is good and in canada, and tonefactor has free shipping up here)

Anyway, thats it for random comments from me.
