Subdecay Quasar

Well I got it yesterday and had a good play with it, though later to day I've got band practice and I will let you know how I go on with it there.

This phaser is completely different to what I usually prefer i.e. 1 knob phasers like the Maxon PT-999, MXR Phase 90 and the Tone Factor Nebula which has been my favourite phaser for a long time.

The reason I bought this was basically I just fancied a change, I only use my phaser for one song live and it's in combination with some fuzz and would benefit from something a bit more out there than the very neutral and relaxed nebula.

I was a bit worried I would struggle to get great sounds out of it due to all the knobs I'd previously had this problem with other phasers and hence my switch and fondness for the one knob phasers, but I found it very hard actually impossible to get a bad sound out there, they all sound great even with every knob cranked, it might not be a sound you want but it was still usable. The quasar doesn't effect your tone at all like the Maxon PT-999 and the Tone Factor Nebula do it's very hi-fi so to speak where as those previously mentioned roll off a bit of treble giving you a very mellow and vintage tone (Which is also my reason for loving those single knob phasers).

One thing I really love on this pedal is how the led pulses to the rate of the phase and if you crank the rate knob and this had a blue led you'd have a strobe effect :p and also I took the rate down to minimum and it's soooooooo slow I got bored.

So any way enough of me talking here is a sound clips

I have no idea what I changed the settings to through out this piece but all the sounds are in there so enjoy ;)

Sounds really good.....My only gripe is the size of the pedal..

Jacks are on the top so it doesn't take up alot of space.

see :D

Also with all the stuff in this pedal there is no way on earth it could get any smaller.
