Thanks bongo!D800 has a fixed HPF at 30hz.
D800+ has an adjustable filter.
Thanks Mingo! I have a Broughton adjustable HPF. Would you still use the Broughton even though the D-800 has an internal HPF? Gues it wouldn't hurt.https://mesa-boogie.imgix.net/media/User Manuals/070532_Subway_D800_171103-download.pdf

Try it. I don't know enough to say if the two filters will interact with one another in a way that's pleasing or not. You won't damage anything. Thanks Mingo! I have a Broughton adjustable HPF. Would you still use the Broughton even though the D-800 has an internal HPF? Gues it wouldn't hurt.
My lines of thinking also. I haven't got the head. Hell, I don't even own a Mesa product. But I will be stepping up to the plate. First purchase will be the Subway 115. I'll add the rest of the rig as the moths/years pass. Pricey stuff but worth every penny.Try it. Buy once, cry once. Just don't eat for six months. You'll get over that, but you'll never get over the trauma of playing a low quality amp.Pricey stuff but worth every penny.
We'll put, sir. Yes... THAT makes complete sense because it's the absolute truth. I'm not compromising any more.Buy once, cry once. Just don't eat for six months. You'll get over that, but you'll never get over the trauma of playing a low quality amp.

The only way I could see that being useful is if you want the wall to happen at a frequency higher than 30hz. Maybe you do, maybe not. How do you set your Broughton unit? Thanks Mingo! Yep... Thanks! Just curious... How long did your D-800s last? Since your on your third one.
.. no, no... it's not like that... I absolutely love the D800..

Great news! Thank you!I have a D-800 and I've been running a Broughton HPF on top of the built-in HPF to good results.
I see. Ok. Was kinda wondering about that. Lol. I feel ya on the surgeries, brother. I've had 3 in the last 4 years. Back surgery just last week. Gotta love old age!.. no, no... it's not like that... I absolutely love the D800..
My first two, I ended up needing different surgeries, had to unfortunately sell them to help fund the surgery...
Once I was able, I knew I didn't want to even bother with anything else, because I loved the head that much... so, one popped up in the classifieds and I snagged it![]()

Generally anywhere from 40-60, depending on the place and my overall volume level. The only way I could see that being useful is if you want the wall to happen at a frequency higher than 30hz. Maybe you do, maybe not. How do you set your Broughton unit?
