Does the D-800 include a built-in HPF or is that just for the DP-800+?

Try it. I don't know enough to say if the two filters will interact with one another in a way that's pleasing or not. You won't damage anything.

My lines of thinking also. I haven't got the head. Hell, I don't even own a Mesa product. But I will be stepping up to the plate. First purchase will be the Subway 115. I'll add the rest of the rig as the moths/years pass. Pricey stuff but worth every penny.

I use my now third D800... just got the SW115 ... It's a great combination..
I got a great deal on a Broughton always on hpf... I'll say it makes a great difference..
I'm able to run the Input higher and the Bass higher to get a huge full sound without the mud, boom, and rumble...

Running the Input higher like this, to my ears, the warm tube emulation overdrive sounds more grindy, which I'm really digging..

The only way I could see that being useful is if you want the wall to happen at a frequency higher than 30hz. Maybe you do, maybe not. How do you set your Broughton unit?

I do believe these are well thought out decisions... carry on.

Maybe a bug light for the moths, no matter how many years it takes them to pass.

My first two, I ended up needing different surgeries, had to unfortunately sell them to help fund the surgery...
Once I was able, I knew I didn't want to even bother with anything else, because I loved the head that much... so, one popped up in the classifieds and I snagged it

I see. Ok. Was kinda wondering about that. Lol. I feel ya on the surgeries, brother. I've had 3 in the last 4 years. Back surgery just last week. Gotta love old age!

Generally anywhere from 40-60, depending on the place and my overall volume level.
