Suggest some P+J pickups for Ironbird project

A few years ago I bought a BC Rich Ironbird body off the Bay. I'm finally getting around to building a neck for it. The body is routed for a P+J pickup combination, with 4 holes for controls on the front and a jack socket hole on the side.

I'm looking for suggestions on what pickups and controls to use. The only limitation is that I want it to be a passive bass (as I already have 2 active basses). I don't have any idea's on how I want it to sound and price isn't particularly a problem.

Orignally I was thinking about getting some Bill Lawrence's and having 2 vols, a master tone and ??? (can't decide what to put in the 4th hole), but I've just ordered some SCN's for my 5 string Jazz so I'm thinking maybe not BL's now.

So what do you suggest???

can't go wrong with Delano pickups

Is not P+J setup but is a P+MM but this bass is a monster. So can't go wrong with Delano P+J

Although i have a coil tap switch for my so it can switch to Jazz style but a truely jazz pickup would be good in your case.

Dimarzio Model P/Model J with individual volume and tone pots? Wouldn't be too expensive and they are nice pickups, plus you could do some interesting things with individual tone pots. Probably how I would go, but I don't know if its what you're after. Nordies are always nice too. Sounds like a fun project regardless.

I'd second the delano's - they will be in the bass I build this summer

as far as the controls, youve got tons of options with 4 holes, even if you stick to passive.
vol, vol, tone, tone
vol, vol, tone, master vol (both pups boosted essentially, so you can maintain the same volume level while adjusting the volumes of the pups)
master vol, balance, tone, tone

I'm really really really not into the LED's on basses or guitars, it's not a good look. But don't worry, it will still be a bass'O'doom by the time I've finished.
I got the fret board glued to the neck today, it's actually starting to look like a neck and not just a plank of wood!
I've been looking around the Delano site and the pickups look very interesting!
