Double Bass Suggestions for zoom meeting sound?

It's highly likely that Zoom's audio engine is optimized for voice. Just like cell phones. There are bandwidth reducing techniques that work well on voice that destroy music.

Yes this goes for all these video call apps. They should design one that is made and optimized especially for music lessons.
They could earn some money there!

There are too many factors in play here so it's very hard to know exactly what's going on and where the problem lies. With some students it's reasonable at best and with others you can't hear what they are doing half of the time. You can forget to play something together. It's far from ideal at the moment but we have to deal with it for now. I stopped worrying about the bad quality and take it for what is now. Hope some clever guy jumps into this hole in the market.
