Any reason(s) why I shouldn't have the compressor first in the chain and the preamp last? I'm building this as a lightweight board to bring to gigs where I'll use the house band's back line. I like the preamp DI capability to bring my tone with me.

Suggestions on order of signal chain

Nope.
There's only 1 rule when it comes to building a board: if it sounds good, it is good. Any possible suggestions to do things differently only apply when it does not sound good. That's when you start to look at things like time-based effects vs anything else. You have none of that, so it's simple:
Do you, your band and/or your audience complain about your tone? If not, this is fine.

That is exactly what I would do. Treat the Preamp as an amp and have it last in the chain. The Comp would be at the front for me but could also be the last thing prior to the Preamp. Keep in mind that if it is Pre or Post Fuzz it will have an impact on the Fuzz. I typically use the Comp first to tame my signal before hitting my dirt pedals.
It totally makes sense to have the Tonehammer last in chain if you want to use the DI out and send the signal of the board to FOH.

That leaves the order of compression and fuzz. If you want an even response from the fuzz play the comp into the fuzz. If you want a more dynamic response from the fuzz with even volume output, reverse the order. Try both and use what works best with your ears.
