60 Watts??? So does it push a lot of sound??? I thought everyone here was saying these things have plenty of headroom, but 60 tube watts doesn't seem like very much...
They are quite loud for a little tube amp. Runs my Marshall 4x12 or my Plush 2x15 like a champ!
Will easily fill a big tavern (600+) with glorious warm low end.

Or Google.

Ed - there is a Sunn "Soundmaster" for sale being advertised on Ebay as a bass amp. Isn't that a guitar amp?

Just as the Sonic I-40 (single 15") and 200S (2x15") were equipped with JBL speakers in their respective cabs (as the "deluxe" versions), the Sonaro (single 15") and Sorado (2x15") were equipped with lesser quality drivers in more primitively designed and built cabs (as the "standard" or more affordable versions). Same amp head in all cases. I owned the Sonaro until around 1990, and wish I still had the head, if only for nostalgia's sake.

It was a Spectrum II and those were advertised as a guitar amp back in the day, but it will work fine stock as either. I modified it to work better for bass as I listed in the auction, and the buyer intends to use it for bass, so thats good. Personally I don't like any of the tube Sunns for guitar unless I'm just playing clean, and if you talk to Conrad Sundholm today (co-founder of Sunn) he will say that if he knew what he did now, his guitar amps back then would have been very different.
