Super bright LEDs

Am I the only one who dislikes 'super bright LED's'? Maybe because my effects are on a table at waist level... I don't see the need for them, and they actually hurt my eyes (that could just be me getting older). Anyway, I think the super-bright trend is dumb, and I hope it's over some day. But maybe they are really useful, like if your band uses a fog machine. But I've had to put tape on some of my effects, to compensate for the brightness.

What say you?

I like them whenever I have to play a daytime gig outside. Love them then! You can always put some tape over the bright ones, but there's really no helping the old dim red ones on a bright sunny stage. Those effects might as well not even have LEDs in those situations.

The Genz Benz GBE1200 i owned was worse than my pedals.... Man that thing had lots of blinding lights!

I do like pedals to be bright as I play a lot of outdoor gigs. As an example, a Boss TU-2 is basically unreadable in direct sunlight but a TC Polytune is super bright outside.

i had some friends of mine complain about the LED on my REDDI. They were in the audiance...

I get blinded by some of my pedals, don't like these new super bright blue LEDs.
Easily fixed by putting a piece of white electrical tape over them though, and the tape can come off outdoors.
