SVT 212av buzz problem: I have 2 SVT 212avs and 2 SVT 210avs. Today I was going through different set ups with my V4b and it became evident that one of the 212s has a buzz. I switched the cabs around a couple of times, always leaving the amp settings the same. The 210s were clean and 1 212 was clean, the other has a definite buzz. My amp is set with the bass at 3 o'clock, mid 3K flat, treb at 2 o'clock, gain at 9 and volume at 12. When I play on the E or A string something is vibrating like a mother...! I pulled the grills and hand tightened the speaker screws to no avail. The speakers look fine. Any input/ideas will be greatly appreciated.

The inside wood brace (think that's what it's called) going from the front to back came loose on mine. First checked the speakers and tightened everything. Still buzzed. Finally took out a speaker and looked inside. That's when I realized what it was. Set it, superglued it and it's all good now. Guessing all the moving and rolling around loosened it.

Remove the grille frame. Reproduce the buzzing.
While you are playing, have someone press at different locations around the baffle close to the speaker to see if the vibration can be dampened.
Try yanking on the handle.
Try pressing on the connector dish.
Turn the HF horn off.
If all fails, sit on the cab, see of that helps.
It could be something loose inside such as a cable, port, or crossover.this will require inspecting the inside of he cabinet.

Have the buzz/rattle on video. Not quite as audible in the second one.

The wood brace I talked about is just about dead center going front to back. The white box in the pic is where the front part is either stapled or nailed in. Mine came loose in the back.
Hi Backdrop...sorry to bother you...I took out all the screws on a speaker, but it's still really tight, like its glued to the baffle or something. I'm nervous to try and pry it loose. Did your speaker come right out, or did you have to apply some force to it? Thanks for your help!

I ended up carefully prying it off with a large flathead screwdriver. Scared the bejabbers out of me when it popped off, too!
Google pick or hook tool. Something like this. Small enough to fit between the grille and the cabinet, rotate, then pull.

OK...with encouragement from @Backdrop and @JimmyM, I got the speaker out using a small wood chisel.
The back to front brace was definitely "wiggly", not detached, but not solid. I used gorilla wood glue and filled in the gaps at the back end (not a very neat job). And wrapped the brace with some foam padding (probably overkill). Gonna wait 24 hours for the glue to fully set and see what happens. Stay tuned!

UPDATE: @Backdrop...did the repair and it worked! Cab is solid as a rock. Thanks for your help!
