SVT-4PRO Help!!

The peak on my SVT-4PRO randomly cuts on and off causing it mute on and off however when I use a mute/graphic equalizer foot pedal it works just fine. There is one problem with the pedal. Instead of holding the foot switch down to mute my bass or hold down the other switch on the pedal to engage the EQ, it does the opposite. I have to press and hold one pedal to unmute and press and hold the other pedal to disengage the EQ. It could be the type of pedal that I am using which is the one shown below. Can anyone help me?

SVT4 has push in/push out GFX EQ and Mute buttons, those look like they might be simple push buttons that only send one kind of signal as opposed to the On/Off your amp wants.

Also, the pedals will override the push buttons, so only use the buttons when the pedal is not plugged in.

Thanks I'll buy a new pedal. But the only reason why I use this pedal is because the amp works fine when I use it. But when I don't use the pedal my amp mutes on and off randomly. Does anyone know the possible reasons why my amp is muting on and off?
