The peak on my SVT-4PRO randomly cuts on and off causing it mute on and off however when I use a mute/graphic equalizer foot switch it works just fine. Any ideas on what could be wrong with the amp so I do not have to use a foot switch?

might just need to clean all your jacks and mute switch with contact cleaner. that sounds like something effects loops do when they get corroded. since it works ok with the footswitch, maybe the corrosion doesn't affect it when it's plugged in.
beyond that, couldn't tell you, but i've seen it happen before.
