SVT CL - No high Voltage

The amp is not "unstable"..... it has a problem, most likely a simple loose connection, maybe a bad solder joint, possibly a bad connection in the wire harness to the preamp as mentioned by another poster.

The answer is that he did NOT fix the amp. He did not actually find the problem.

He may have THOUGHT he fixed it, but perhaps you did not tell him it is intermittent, or maybe he didn't believe you. Or maybe he didn't try very hard to get it to fail after he did whatever he did.

In any case, he didn't fix the real problem, which may not be easy to find, but is most likely a rather simple problem.

UPDATE:

After puzzling a bit with the amp, i found out it was a loose connection, or well, my dad did. We called my uncle (the familys most tech savvy), and he found the loose connection, and the amp should at least be temporarliy fixed, until the loose connection starts to anoy me again. I hope so atleast.

I believe the tech found the loose connection, and fixed it, but not properly. Anyway, he fixed the fan too, which i couldnt have done by myself just now. Now i just hope it wont annoy me any longer.

And another thing, which like the fan, is not new, my SVT CL is making a decently loud noise when i turn standby on, and it just idles, and even when i play (but you do not notice it because the bass sound is louder), and is this normal and what could it be? When i biased the amp very low it was nearlly gone, but when its at a correct bias its pretty loud.

I'm not sure what you are on about here, but it brought something to mind. When I changed power tubes and set the bias on my SVT-CL, I was listening to the hum. In the bias setting, there was a range of green/correct that I would move through with the adjustment screw. The hum would be at it's lowest, almost quiet, at the center of that range.
