Im not sure if this is normal and it doesnt make a whole lot of different because you can't hear it when playing a show but when i power up my SVT CL it humms very loudly. Not from the speakers but from the actual head itself. Is this the fan or the tubes? Bias controles are solid green and its running through a power conditioner. (does the same thing when not running through the power conditioner)

SVT CL sounds like a fighter jet when power on

That fan moves a decent amount of air, but it shouldn't be too loud. Definitely some volume, but negligible once you get playing.
well it sounds like a hairdryer on low to give you an idea. Well maybe a touch quieter. Is that too loud?
The fan no louder than a wisper or low mumble, the rest of the amp dead quiet. You mentioned a jet taking off type sound that leads me to think fan. If it is a humm then the power transformer may have a concern (60 Hz hum, 50 Hz if that is your AC line frequency).
Slightly loud for a good fan. Test your analogy with a hair dryer on low next to the amp, if the hair dyer is louder you're good.
Ok well ill take it in to get it looked at then. Ive still got some warranty on it i believe so i hope they cover fans and transformers if that what it is. I hope its not the transformer because the fan would be a quick fix.
