SVT classic rattle in chassis

I was playing my SVT Classic last night and noticed a rattle coming from the chassis when played at volume...actually I was below regular volume.

When I place my head near the front of the chassis with my ear near the knobs the rattle is very audible and it can be heard over cymbals. Playing my bass will vibrate the chassis on most notes and not at all on a very few.

I'm about to get in to it today and see what I can see or hear but I was curious if there are any obvious suspects I should keep an eye open for.

Thanks!

The first thing that i would check are the spring retainers on the power tubes. The springs can vibrate against the glass. One solution is to cover the springs with high temperature tubing.

Otherwise, you might have a screw loose somewhere. Everything needs to be checked, the handles, the fan mounts, the chassis mounts, then inside the chassis. Start with the big obvious stuff first before pulling out a chassis.
