SVT pre schematic question

Hey folks,

I was looking over a vintage SVT pre schematic this morning, and had a question about the ultra-lo switch on channel 2.

The schematic seems to indicate a connection between the wipers of the switch, but it looks to me like that would short around the volume pot:



Is this a misprint on the schematic, or am I misreading this somehow (still on my first cup of coffee here!) I don't have my amp available right now to take a peek...

The switch has no connection between "sides" of the switch electrically. Note the (-) dash between sides are not solid between pole haves.

A dotted line connected to switch poles or potentiometer wipers indicates "ganging". The sections move together. It is not, as the good Mr B posted, an electrical connection.

The "connection" between the wipers are "mechanical" nature, not electrical.
