Pickups? Separate stacked volume/tone, rear responds slightly different to the front so not sure how it's wired. I haven't wired up anything yet myself so not familiar. Gotta dive into that soon though, my Plyte picked up a nasty intermittent buzz at a gig recently. Time to learn!

Possibly 3 volume and 1 tone? It's possible with the 4 pots concentric

Sorry for the aside, but my diabetic friend (or, as he likes to call himself, a "Veteran of the Pancreatic Wars") would respectfully disagree. Common things like "stairs" get tricky.

Wow. That is one of the coolest builds I've ever seen. As others have said, those are all high quality parts from what I can see. Not sure what the pickups are, but I doubt they'd put junk in them after all the other effort they've gone through!

Like @Killing Floor said, get a 4" strap and rock that thing out! I bet it's a total beast, assuming the neck joint is nice and tight. I was just looking at walnut bodies the other day! Everything I have right now is some shade of blue, and while I love blue ... I also love walnut that has a beautiful grain pattern to it, and what you have there is gorgeous! It looks like a one-piece body. Is that right?

Is there something etched onto the neckplate, or am I just seeing some artful smudging?

I'm not an expert on verifying Fender authenticity, but is there maybe a chance that the neck is a real Fender neck from an older bass, maybe? The wear on it, if authentic, doesn't seem to match the body which seems to be in pretty good shape. Of course, I just might not be seeing a lot of rim rash and stuff that might be present. From what I can see from the top of the bass and that partial shot of the back, it looks to be in pretty nice shape without a lot of buckle rash, etc.

I just noticed the tape over the pole pieces, haha! How Billy Sheehan of them! lol!

Anywho, super cool bass, man. Awesome score. I hope you'll share more as you settle in with it!
