Swapping MEC 2 band for OBP-3

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions about what type of pots I need for my new preamp. I have a warwick corvette 5 string with an MEC 2 band preamp and active MEC pickups. I thought it would be as simple as just using the pots I already have but it looks like the MEC preamp lives on pieces of PCB that are attached to the pots. So I need to get new pots, correct? Since I have active pickups, I need a 25k blend pot. Is this also true for the volume pot? Or can I use a 500k that I have laying around?

Lastly, when I'm done installing the OBP-3, I would like to install the MEC 2 band into my passive corvette 4 string. Would this be possible?

look at the obp3 documentation it should specify what pots to use for the pickups (whether you are using active or passive pickups) you will want 50k prolly for the eq pots. once again check the docs it should specify or you should be able to find the pdf online specifying. Yes you could install the 2 band on your other bass lol i am not a huge fan of the mec electronics the pickups are ok but i hate their eq/ preamps. you will need new pots yes, as far as tone or blend knob it would depend on if you want individual pickup control or a blend configuration similar to the setup that comes from the factory. Once again the aguilar specs should tell you what type and value of pot to use
