Sweet Caroline's bass player

Does anyone know who played the bass on the studio recording of "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond? IMO the part is well constructed, very tasteful, 'just enough' for the song, simple, but with some interesting off-beat phrases.

The bass player and arrangements for sweet Caroline is mike leech from Memphis - he is retired now but played with Elvis early in his career along with a ton of other country singers.
