Sweetwater, again.

Sorry, but you need Agent 99.

Well, agent 99 (my wife) balked at first at keeping our phones on the other end of the house, but I refuse to live like most people glued to their digital device. That's what desktops are for.

Update on my issue, my guy called me, they are going to find out what is the right case for my bass from schecter and comp it to me. As expected, Sweetwater takes care of business. It's just a good thing I'm a hands-on guy and was able to make the repairs myself. It would suck to have to send back a bass I just got.

Buy a boutique bass or just a bag of picks, and a customer service rep. calls to say thanks, confirm your order and give you your shipping details.
Yes, I know very well that call is combination, fraud prevention-sales pitch for additional gear- schmoozing call, but I still appreciate it.

I'll be honest, more often than not I find they go a bit too far over the top.

Because I've bought just a bag of picks from Sweetwater, and not only did I get the Thank-You/Order Confirmation follow-up call from some guy self-described as my personal Customer Service Liaison, but then I also got a phonecall from that same guy once a month, and an email two days after every phonecall either thanking me for taking the time to talk with him on the phone, or letting me know he'd called and wanting to know if I got his message.

I've had psychotic ex-girlfriends who were less clingy/needy!

I agree about Sweetwater quality control. I've bought gear from other places that arrived defective and had obviously not been inspected (e.g., broken tuning pegs w/ no signs of shipping damage). Never had a problem with SW.

Pro tip: Tell your SW customer rep that you don't like the phone calls and they stop calling. Worked for me.

Good service yes, but never get a clunker, no. Just had to return an EarthQuaker Devices pedal with a faulty footswitch.

Not complaining, return went fine - though i'm out a few bucks for shipping because the pedal was no good. Last of that brand I try I guess.

In this day and age, I don't complain about quality customer service. So they get a little sales pitchy, big deal.

I remember years ago when there were actual independent music stores with a ton of gear on the floor. We had a local one in my area (still there, though downsized and struggling) that I swear had one of everything before the internet really started wiping out the brick and mortars. When I was a broke teenager, they would let me drag anything I wanted into a sound room and play with it - no questions asked. They treated everyone with respect. Years later when I had cash, and a gear whoring problem - I would buy everything from them because of how they treated me when they knew I couldn't afford anything on the wall.

So what's my point? Sweetwater is giving the customer who spends 20 bucks the same attention as the guy who drops a grand...just like those old music stores. Good for them, and good for the consumers. Do you know how hard it is to get an actual human being on the horn for CS in almost any other scenario....and have them act like they give a crap? Almost impossible these days.
