Switching between bass & synth; two amps/one cabinet?

Are you saying take the post-eq DI from the amp, blend that with the synth output, and send that to the power amp return?

Or take the send from the amp to the mixer and blend that with the synth and send that to the power amp return?

Maybe the two signal paths are identical, and I assume that the bass signal in each case will go through the preamp and eq, and the synth signal will obviously directly go to power amp.
I'm not a MarkBass user. Assuming it has a post EQ DI that would be a mic level balanced output. The pre out will be a line level. Bit of a difference.

Depending on the mixer the DI is assured to work and the line out will work if mixer has line input, most do.

Next question is how the pre out and line in on the MB works. Some only engage when the line out is employed. Some do a blend of loop and original signal which could get messy for groundloops if the DI was used.

Either way could get messy for a groundloop come to think of it. Better try it out in store before buying.
