Megoliath all the way... I had one for 7 years til I sold it a few years ago... Used it for metal tuned to B and even A - it never backed down to anything I threw at it. Super loud and clean cab.

I only sold it cause my musical tastes changed and it was way too much for anything I do now.

SWR. But you will need a lot of muscle to make it loud.

I agree with the choice, but not the 2nd sentence... For example, I regularly rehearse in a loud 2 guitar band with a 700rb-II thru a Goliath Sr, and it will get more than loud enough for any reasonable gig...

SWR wouldn't seem like the "A" choice for that kind of mondo-low tuned music...

Aren't all the metal kids more or less sworn to use Ampeg???

There is no doubt that the SWR 810 will put out way more low end than the Ampeg 810...
