Title kind of says it all. Picked up a Grand Prix and Stereo 800 combo but can't find any docs on the Stereo 800 online. Internet Scuttlebutt says the power section is the same as the SM900 and the bias procedure is the same. But I've not seen a SM 900 with Slave Outputs. The amp itself is pretty simple to figure out and I'm running it in stereo with two Henry's. But a manual and schematic would be nice.
The back panel with its inputs and outputs is easy to figure out. Bridging the amp is easy to figure out although I've got no plans to bridge it. Using a mono input uses the left input. I know or have figured out what I can on my own.
The one thing that's not obvious is how or where in the circuit the Left Right Slave Outs are derived. They are located adjacent to the amps outputs. So I'm guessing they are located at the driver stage rather than simply paralleling the inputs. That's what it is. Just a guess. I've got no idea for example if they interrupt the signal to the internal power amp if used. Most slave outs I've used are for feeding additional power amps. SWR was a bit proponent of side chaining with things like the tuner out and effects loops so I'd not be surprised if they did the same here.
I like knowing what I'm doing before I start plugging random cables into jacks and Stereo 800's seem a bit on the rare side.
Hopefully someone has a copy of the manual and or schematic lying around.
