For sale SWR Super Redhead. Serviced + Reconed Speakers

$600.00

Details

My favorite Bass Combos ever!
(I love the Eden Metros, but these are bullet-proof, even at 2 Ohms!)

This amp has been gone over by Patrick at AVA Video Audio in Sacramento, CA. (It didn't need much, mostly the little lights on the panel.)

I had Mike, at Neal's Speaker Repair in Colfax, CA recone the stock speakers...he put in super beefy Cones and Spiders...and the surround has been upgraded too. By my mistake, I ended up with one a different color...I should have reminded him that three Speakers he did a year earlier were Black. My fault. I love the quirky way it looks though. Sounds stout and clear!

The cabinet is in pretty good shape, though I think I may have sold that cover/amp stand part to a guy...Oops!
It sounds so killer!
I'm asking for $550, I'm not in a hurry, but WILL consider reasonable offers.
If you live somewhere near me, say, S.F. Bay Area, Sacramento, Modesto, or Santa Rosa Areas, I can deliver it at this price.
It has castors.

Here's my photobucket of pictures for this bass rig:

OP, If I wasn’t already using a wireless system, this one would be mine.

Had one a couple of years ago and like an idiot, I sold it. Outstanding in its day, rocked lots of shows with mine, and STILL one of the best combos out there.

Seriously, GLWTS. Some bass player out there is in for a treat.

It's difficult to sell big heavy amps anymore, and the SWR tone has been out of style for well over a decade. Makes it a hard sell.

Just out of curiosity, what happened to the drivers that you had to have them rebuilt?

The tone on these will NEVER go out of style. SWR Redheads use PAS speakers...the cones seem to get creases in them...I've had to recondition many of these speakers. --But hey, they are a million times better when I've had them done at Neals' Speaker repair.

Hi Mark !!! I STILL have the Super Redhead I bought from you about 10 years ago (maybe longer !)with Eminence BP102's in it. My BEST combo, still ! These rock so much ! Sound AMAZING !!!!! Then again, all I own is SWR and Mesa gear.
Mark is a great guy to deal with, easy going, and always has "better than the other guy gear". Meaning if someone else also has a similar amp, his is usually in better shape or has necessary upgrades.

Mike! How are you doing Bro? Thank you for your kind words. I do refurbish gear before selling them. (Not always, but, buying used, there's always something that needs fixing or improving, right? :D !) I've been using this Combo, and LOVE SWR gear as well. I hope you and yours have avoided the Virus, and soon, we'll all be working again! Blessings!
