I’m actually fine using two cables. I wonder if the previous guy just ran it like 2 4x10

My thoughts exactly. Maybe a clean+effects setup? Who knows

Could be that the normalizing switches on the Phone socket could be dirty or bent and not connecting the second bank of drivers.
