SWR working pro cabinet 4x10

Hello!

I am allready asking a few things in "cabinet infos" theme; but I want to focus in this one for a few information.
So, SWR workingpro cabinet , 4 x10, 8 ohms, 400w

I think it is a old model, now are making new ones, different by the look at least, more silver and more looked like golliath.

- So, anything about that one, any infos about sound, sound description: low end, low mids, mids, high mids, highs ??
- And, what about quality of this cabinet; is this a budget cabinet of swr, low quality swr ... or something bette.
- Is it like a GK backline or better? Is it worth 400eur - 1 year old ??
- Working together with KG 700rb head? I like punchy, definition sound, not to bright, some low end; but the most mids - fingerstyle, that I can hear myself. Funk/Rock

I have a workingpro 4x10. I bought it new about 3 or 4 years ago. It has been extremely reliable. I have gigged a couple hundred times a year since I've had it, never once has let me down in any way. Tone-wise, It is typical of a mid priced 4x10. Slightly on the aggressive side with the mids, but otherwise well balanced. Not the deepest cab by itself, though. I use it with a SWR Son of Bertha 1x15 and get good results. I am actually planning on getting rid of the entire rig for a Berg NV4x12, but thats another story!

I heard that it uses the Goliath speakers, just cheaper grill and cabinet material, this may or may not be true. Hope this helps.

How much did you pay for a new one?

I don't remember exactly what I paid for it, because I bought it with a lot of other gear. I think it was around $600 USD

I brought one back in September, but I took it back, and ordered a Epifani PS410. The SWR was ok, but like it has been said not a lot of low end, but it seem to be very well built. The WorkingMan, or WorkingPro is the entry level SWR equipment. IMHO it is a little better than the GK Backline stuff.

I used a working man's stack (4x10 & 15) for a little while. It was good for that little while, but I found myself trying to push too much through it. It's good if you don't over do it... but I needed bigger better things. I currently have the Big Bertha (2x15) and it is a BEAST!
