sx project

so i got an sx frettless 5er for christmas, im changing the strings to EADGC and i wanna swap out the pups. i was thinking about EMG's but they need to be passive.

first of all is it worth it to get passive emgs? second, what would you reccomend? im prety new to pups because i dont really mod basses but im going for it so.

keep in mind they need to fit http://www.rondomusic.net/sjb6241fl.html

thanks in advance

Wrong, ive made my old trusty squier a tenor plenty of times, and my schecter for that matter. Anyways, emg's are great, even Hz models (passive) but put some Bartolini's in there for a fretless warm kind of sweet tone, or emg's for slightly more edge.
