SX Ursa 6-string Jazz bass

I had to create an account to tell yall how horrible you are. I started out just looking for some reviews on the Ursa and by the the end of this thread I had ridiculous gas. Hopped on rondo as soon as I got home. The 6 stringer was in the cart, but then I saw this newly posted:

Been waiting for this exact bass for a while. Now I have 2 basses on the way and it's all your fault!! (and maybe Kurt to a certain degree)

Thanks XD

KURT IS HIDING A FIVER IN THE FOURS.......

Actually it's not in the fours! It's hidden in the new stuff!

I've been checking the 5ers for some time and SX pickings are very slim to none. Which surprised me when this showed up!

This one is very nearly like my 5 string Ash SX except for the Ursa headstock. I'm dying to get one like this in fretless! I may have to consider de-fretting one of these! I guess I"ll have to wait and see how the 6 string de-fret goes...

Also I'm getting a GAS attack over that "porch board" stomp pedal. Price is right. Looks are great. Just wonder about the sound...

Come on! Consider yourself lucky. This is SX the wonderbass you are talking about here. This is like the money you'd spend if your computer crashed a hard drive or something. REAL GAS (shudder) is known to TRULY leave a gigantic gaping hole in your bank account! (eg. My Conklin Bill Dickens 7 string) SX is more like weekend doing the town with the guys.

God dammit, *reaches in back pocket* (this would look too good on the wall between the SX6 and VM jazz)
Seriously the basses are cheaper and nicer than the curtains my wife bought.
Oh and welcome to talkbass.:D

And...***?

True... no kittens were harmed when I ordered. :D
I can only imagine getting a Groove Tools bass, let alone any of Conklin's insanely cool looking custom work.

The SX 5 works for me because I want to get into modding and need something with more options than a passive 6 would have. I don't hate the head (I dig oddball stuff and the head sort of reminds me of a Bongo) but it definitely isn't at home on a j style body & neck.

Nope. SX-6 now gone from six string page!

Let's hope SX gets the message and ships Kurt some more!

Well, for the time being, we have a some of the only examples of this instrument. I guess that makes us the elite of the low rent district of bassdom? ;-)

Whether or not that is true, or even made any sense, I'm glad that this one didn't get away without me placing my order!

Soon to be an SX member in good standing...
