SX wiring

Sorry for this repeat of a question but I didn't receive an answer so I'll try it this way.

On the SX P/J is the black wire coming from the "P" pickup the ground wire? I think it is but just want to be sure.

Here is a different picture of the same type SX P pickup on a short scale and the black wire seems to be attached to the ground.

Yes, black is ground white is hot in the second picture. In the first they have been reversed (the pickup would function either way)
