Double Bass Sydeman's For Double Bass Alone

I've been working on this amazing piece--and I am curious to hear from others who have played it. It's clearly significant for 1959, a real change for bass literature. What do you who've played it think are the most interesting or significant things in the work?

I don't know it- but I have a copy of a duet he wrote for bass and marimba that I struggled with as an undergrad. Where did you get it? Lemur?

Bert Turetzky, the man for whom it was composed, told me I should look at it and as it's out of print I found it at a library.
