Synth pedal that doesn't sound like a robot fart

Is there one out there?

I don't want to sound like Bootsy, I just want to be able to create new sounds with the characteristics that I want.

What would be really cool is something that would allow you to tweak the sound wave characteristics and then also let you save as a patch.

The Roland VB-99 is pretty good for that. I had one for a month or so and was pretty surprised at how good it was.

I've never tried one myself, but my understanding is that the Markbass Super Synth is editable in this fashion using a computer as an interface. You might want to check some youtube vids.

Search there are several extensive posts on this subject. There are several ways to approach synthesis and while there are some legit solutions I am quite using a Zoom B2 for synthing. Cheap solutions are always flatulent as Robbie th robot.

Robot farts are great at the beginning of the signal chain because they are so predictable, just apply envelope filters and other effects to make them more organic and smelly afterwards. Definitely look into effects designed for keyboard use, a Jomox T-Resonator will make your robots smell like honey!

Just add a bit of chorus or flanger to sweeten them up a bit, make them less sterile.

Markbass Super Synth has got lots of editable parameters that you can save as a patch. But you need a computer connected to do most of the editing... It has some other limitations, but it's a good all round synth if you want to save different patches. There's a megathread about it here if you search.

For tweaking, the Electro Harmonix Bass Micro Synth is good fun - it has sliders for the various controls and a nice sounding filter. But it's not really a synth - it uses an octaver and a fuzzy octave up for the sound source.
