T/S Parameters?

After installing some new subs for my bands system (Tuba 36 from Bill Fitzmaurice, sounds great!), I've discovered just how much low end response I'm missing out on. The silly Workingman 4x10T cab I'm using just isn't cutting it anymore.

I was wanting to go the route of building my own cab, probably a pair of Omni 10's from Bill Fitzmaurice, but I would really like to use the drivers I already have from this cab to save money.

Sadly, SWR is being stingy and not giving me the parameters to the drivers, and only the part number. I emailed the dealer that does most of the business for replacement parts for Fender, hoping they would give me some info, but I expect the same answer.

I guess I'm completely out of luck here? The part number is 006-7078-000. Anyone else tried this out?

I don't have any T/S for SWR drivers, sorry.
You could probably guess by using the Beta 10 specs.

You can use your current drivers and see how they sound. You can always change them out later. This will destroy the resale value of your current cab, and is not worth it, IMO. YMMV.

One concern for swapping drivers is a mismatch of driver mounting bolt holes. I always use L-brackets, never the driver bolt holes, so this isn't a problem for me. The O10 appears to have enough room to use (4) L-brackets per driver.

I can't imagine take the driver out and placing into a different cab reducing resale value of this cab much. Not that it had much value anyway. Besides, I got this thing as a display model at GC for $100. It just had a tweeter that didn't work. ;) Quite a steal, even for a "lower end" cab. $10 later, I have a new tweeter and a flawless cab. :D

Elaborate a bit on "L-Brackets" please. :)

back to the original problem- you dont have TS specs for a driver you own. Some solutions were to use a"best fit" driver (beta 10) that is probably most similar, or to use'em and see how it sounds.

How about measuring them yourself? I recently read an article on measuring your own TS specs, and it doesnt seem too terribly difficult.

I would be very interested in ANYONE's experience with actually calculating your own TS specs based on your own measurments.

Pitfalls, tips, suggestions, hints... also, what was your % deviation from the published specs (if you had them available).

thanks

ps- Bgavin, do you have a picture of the L clamps in action, and do you have to order a specific size depending upon the driver? thanks.
