oooo, good idea ! hahaha... but I wanted to re-desigt the original Yamaha Headstock.... in the next project, I'll order a custom neck at Djerjinski custom guitars or Warwick or Sandberg.Dang! If you want to go all metal or have to deal with pesky lead singers get some pike nuts on there instead of those acorns!

at the end, I will replace the silver nuts with custom made brass ones... I have to find a nice design... with 6 arms/holes ... and a special key to turn them in place.... haha
For whatever it’s worth, if anything, I may be in the same sitch soon. I ordered some “inexpensive” Amazon headless tuners, granted the Guyker brand which are supposed to be better so I’ll see how they end up. Also, this is for a multi scale, 6 string piccolo bass so there should be a bit more leeway then tuning bass strings.
