Now somebody needs to invent a bluetooth pedal to turn pages. That would be killer!
Anyone know if it's possible to annotate pages with a stylus or fingertip? (i.e. To mark bowings, fingerings, etc.)
Very cool. I'm not sure I would trust it on a gig though.
@Phil Smith: Is there a way to get back to the page before in case you turned the page by accident?

You can always tap the top portion of the screen to return to the previous page. The app that runs on the iPod/iPhone requires a reasonable amount of force to trigger a page turn and won't trigger another until after a set period of time so that a double tap doesn't result in two pages turning. I've used this on reading gigs where the tempo is brisk and the pages numerous to great effect.
There is a nice app for fake books, songbooks and set lists (no transposable list of song changes) for the iPad:
Calypso Jam (free, full fake book function, limited song book function) and Calypso Score (full version, about US$7).
The free version can import large songbooks made with the full version. Good PDF documentation, very active developer.
Current version has very few quirks, but still runs on first iPad, the next one is in the Apple review queue and need iOS7.
At least worth to try out. But have a look at the documentation to understand how to work with it.
Are you involved with the development of this app?
No, I'm just a happy user.
I looked around for sheet music readers and found several programs, but the only manual I found was for Forscore.
I considered your iGigBook, but couldn't find a manual for it, so I decided to give the free Calypso Jam a try first and even found the manual for it.
I was really happy with Calypso Jam, even with the few bugs, so I paid for the full Version, Calypso Score.
For every bug I found an explanation or workaround in the forum and if Apple wouldn't insist on iOS7, the bugs would have been removed much earlier (that's what I have read). The iOS7 version without the bugs is submitted to but not yet checked by Apple.
I also found iGigBook a bit expensive to buy without trying it out before and without a manual to read about how to work with it. And since I already have iReal b, I don't need that part of iGigBook and can use iReal b on my iPhone too.
Calypso is not totally intuitive, you need to know double tapping for hiding/showing the menu, but it has some really interesting stuff in the songbook part like automatic page turning and synchronized playing of MP3-music. Really great for transcriptions. Both needs a bit of user work, but it could be done rather quickly.
There are less fake book indexes than for iGigBook, a few of them seem to be faulty (or my files are), but the new version allows for user specified indexes which I like to have for my own books and collections or for correcting faulty indexes (or specifying new indexes for alternate file versions).
A lot of reasons to try Calypso and maybe buy it later.
Well, that's the reason I went with Calypso instead of iGigBook, which I have considered before I found Calypso and tried it out.
