Double Bass tail piece to endpin wire

Hello! Just joined up. Used search function, but could not find any info on what type of wire/metal is used to attach the tail piece to endpin. Mine broke a few years back when my band was practicing and it has layed dorment ever since, 90% sure will be working with another band in a month so i need to get it replaced. Would like(read "can") repair it myself, but cant find any info on a new piece. Can someone point me to a thread or website with info?
Thanks!

You can find a bass-specific tail wire Invalid Link Removed. The allen screw ferrule allows you to adjust the length of the tail wire. I'd recommend this adjustable ferrule because you can adjust it where your bass sounds best.

Otherwise you could just go to one of the big box hardware stores and buy some 3/32 braided steel cable and a crimp.

Welcome to TB! Could you give us more info in your profile?
