Double Bass Tailpiece for 5/8th bass

What length tailpiece do you recommend for a 5/8th bass; it had a Marvin wire tp, but shifting to guts won't work with the Marvin; 320/340 mm seem too long and the half-size 310 mm seems too short.

Hey Louis,

If it's a smaller 5/8 I would go with the 1/2 size. I wouldn't put a 3/4 TP on a little bass, it will tend to shut it down.

Ideally, you can have one made to fit the specs of the bass. I do the math and figure out how much afterlength I want then size the TP to the bass. (You can get pretty close on most basses with the production models)
