So I just swapped the strings on my Shen SB150 to an old set of spirocores which put out a noticeable amount more energy than the Kaplans that just came off. A side effect is that the tailpiece now rattles against the airline cable at the bottom end. I've temporarily fixed it by jamming half of a cotton swab up each end, but the look and stability of the fix is not ideal. Is there a better / more common way to address this rattling? Does it point to any other problems I should be thinking about?
