Takamine acoustic

Today at my local music store I played one. Never played an acoustic bass before, the sound was so warm and vibrant. Are all acoustic basses like this?If so I may drop the 300 dollars for it.

I like my acoustic bass to practice and around the house, but I woudl never play in a group with it. Its too hard to cut through the mix.

Not all acoustic bass guitars are like that. Takamine is the best I've played.

Fortunately, most come with pickups.

This was an acoustic electric, it was was very nice. I may get it in the near future. As for playing with a group It would probably only be used at small functions just to jam with, so I dont have to drag out all the electric stuff.
