60!!! Wowzers!!!!!

I played exclusively with a pick for about 20 years but switched to finger style 13 years ago. I rarely use a pick but when I do I use a Dunlop Orange 60mm.

What's the rationale for using thick picks? Maybe ifs my technique but I've always liked flex in the pick. I have been using a Herco Flex 50. I'm definitely in the minority here. What am I missing?

I find that thick picks give a stronger attack with less effort.
